THE BEGINNING The Zecchi Company was founded in Florence on 15/03/1896 by Amedeo, an able leather craftsman, whose products were immediately established as some of the finest exemplars of handicrafted products of those years.
				PRODUCTS OF THOSE YEARS In those years, boxes covered with velvet and suede for the most varied uses, chests covered in leather, frames and jewellery boxes provided tangible proof of great ability and competence, as they still do today.
				A DATE TO REMEMBER.. The year of the flood marked an important turning point. On that evening of the 6th November 1966, the waters of the river Arno broke their banks and submerged Florence…..
				The shop of Via Guicciardini near Ponte Vecchio in Florence was destroyed and the laboratory beneath the shop completely submerged.
				The climb back up began with Roberto, the son of Amedeo. Following those terrible days, the company stopped selling to the public to specialize in the production of objects of high value and quality.
